Botanic Studies

The Botanic Studies are four detailed paintings of species found within the Albury Botanic Gardens.

The Botanic Studies are four detailed paintings of species found within the Albury Botanic Gardens. They include the Bunya Pine (Araucaria Bidwillii), Maidenhair Tree (Gingko Biloba), Lemon Scented Gum (Corymbia Citriodora) and Australian Teak (Flindersia australis).

Painted by Albury-based artist Kristina Greenwood, they reflect some of the natural beauty growing within the Albury Botanic Gardens to be discovered as you wander the paths. Each work depicts the leaves, flowers, seeds or pods of the tree represented, providing a study of information for the viewer. The beautiful Botanic Gardens is one of the artist’s favourite places in Albury. Kristina says it has been a dream to paint these works.

Can you find these trees? They’re yours to discover on your walk around the gardens.
