Up to $5,000 is available for each project, with a total funding pool of $25,000 to support fresh ideas that benefit the Albury community - whether through inclusive events, cultural programs, workshops, exhibitions or targeted community initiatives.
AlburyCity Councillor Geoff Hudson said the grants are a practical way to support local people undertaking work which strengthens and connects the community.
“These grants back community-led ideas, from the arts to wellbeing initiatives, that bring people together and make a difference where it counts,” Cr Hudson said.
“We’re looking for projects that are locally focused, reflect our city’s diversity and creativity, and align with the broader goals of Albury’s future.”
The program supports both community and cultural projects:
- Community initiatives that build capacity, address local issues or strengthen connections
- Cultural activities that provide creative or artistic experiences for Albury residents.
Previous recipients have delivered accessible theatre, cross-cultural programs, youth engagement initiatives and more, with many of them developed by small groups with limited resources but a clear community focus.
Applicants must be incorporated, legally constituted and not-for-profit. Individuals may apply if they are auspiced by an eligible organisation. The proposed project must primarily benefit residents within the Albury Local Government Area. Organisations already significantly funded from other sources or delivering similar services may not be eligible.
Each organisation can submit one application per round. Round 1 applications close at midnight on Sunday 31 August 2025.
